October 21st, 2015 was “Back to the future day” – an important day for all fans of this famous movie: It commemorated the day to which Marty McFly, Dr. Emmett Brown and Jennifer Parker traveled in the DeLorean time machine at the beginning of Back to the Future Part II. However, it was an even more important day for Hamburg International Speakers: the day of our first meeting!
Time flies! Has it really been three years already? In our regular meeting on October 24th, we took the opportunity to celebrate and review the past three years. The festive decoration, prepared by our Vice President Club Life Petra, provided an appropriate atmosphere. Our charter member and immediate past president Ninja moderated the evening. She made us travel through the history of our club by presenting some highlights in a slide show.
All this created and excellent framework for another great meeting with three interesting speeches and appealing table topics. After the meeting, all attending members and guests were invited to a drink in the bar at the expense of the club. Cheers to an exciting past three years and a bright future!
